In this fast paced world we are all asked to deliver more in less time.
As a mum it is not unusual to feel overwhelmed with demands and constant fatigue as work, the family and the house, all scream for our attention.
As mothers we are the nurturers and care givers. We are expected to be the primary carers of our children, we care for our partners, as homemakers we look after the house. But who is looking after us? With so many demands placed on us we sacrifice our own self-care for the care of others.
It’s not wrong to put your children first but our own care is valuable too. Through making time for ourselves, and showing some self-compassion, we are better placed to care for others.
A happy mum, makes for happy children!
